Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled MuleSoft Integration Architect to join our team and lead the integration efforts for a critical public sector solution. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MuleSoft and be adept at integrating a diverse set of system endpoints, primarily involving Mainframe systems (COBOL, CICS, DB2) and Java applications. This role requires a deep understanding of legacy systems and modern integration practices to ensure seamless communication and data flow between various platforms.
Required Qualifications:
MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or Developer certification.
Experience in the public sector or similar highly regulated environments.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in integration architecture and development using MuleSoft.
Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Data Weave.
- Strong knowledge of Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
- Proficiency in Java programming and understanding of Java-based applications.
- Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, and API-led connectivity.
- Familiarity with various integration patterns and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and Design Integrations: Develop and implement integration solutions using MuleSoft to connect Mainframe systems (COBOL, CICS, DB2) and Java-based applications.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in integration design, development, and deployment.
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyse integration requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Integration Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API-led connectivity, Mule ESB, and Data Weave.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize integration solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring minimal impact on legacy systems.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, including design artifacts, technical specifications, and deployment guides.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for integration solutions, addressing issues related to connectivity, data transformation, and system performance.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that integration solutions adhere to security policies and compliance requirements, including data protection and access controls.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to ensure successful integration project delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in integration and legacy system modernization, recommending improvements and innovative solutions.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
